Angus was our second pig and has been with us for 6 years. He is one of our older residents and requires medication for arthritis. Angus' best friend is StanLee.
Ernie is a big goat with big love. He is a fluffy guy who loves to cuddle but watch out for those horns. He is grandfather to the goats and keeps everyone getting along and happy.
Dani is our queen and we bow to her reign. Dani was found roaming in Eldorado and is a bit feral. She has adapted well to her new home and routine. You can usually find her napping under the juniper tree.
Oscar is a jolly old guy. He lives with his long time partner, Pixie, and is loving his life. He likes people and loves to help when we do pig paintings. Bring on the peanut butter!
Layla is our gorgeous shepherd who is affectionately known as the Sherriff. Layla knows the rules and tries to enforce them with some success. She is getting older now and slowing down but we still look to her for guidance.
Ricky is Lucy's partner and they are the perfect couple. Ricky is the strong, silent type, is calm, confident and undoubtedly impressive. He is a header turner for sure.
Peggy came to us as a lone, inside pig so it was a big adjustment. Well, she has stepped up and came through with flying colors. She is making friends and finding her space. We've loved watching her grow.
If you are in need of intense, unbridled love, Barbie is your girl. True to pittie nature, she is a lover of life and people. She will look at you with the most adoring eyes making you feel like it's you and Barbie against the world.
Mr. Peabody is a wonderful and happy rooster who came to us with his friend Sherman. Mr. Peabody has a serious case of cross beak but that doesn't diminish his happy nature.
Sherman is a sweet little guy who tries hard to sound like a big guy. He is very small and has beautiful feathers but we tell him he is big and macho which is how he feels inside.
Liza was living in the barn when we bought the property. She had some brothers and sisters who have passed but she has made great friends with all the pigs. Liza can be seen roaming all over the property.
Max is one of our older pigs and likes to do his own thing. He loves to be brushed and napping in the sun. He is kind of a loner but that's ok. We love him just the way he is.
Ruby is the perfect example of a happy-go-lucky pittie girl. She loves life and lives it to the fullest. Ruby struggles with her vision loss but that doesn't dull her spirit. She is a joy to be around.
Like her partner Oscar, Pixie loves people. She is super sweet and likes to get out of her yard for a walk about. Pixie is easy going but can exert her girl power when needed.
Mondo, affectionately known as Fluffy Butt, is dynamic, smart and silly. He makes every moment count, and although he is active, you can find him sometimes getting some tv time on the couch.
You will always find Peter with straw on his face because he loves to burrow. Peter is an older guy and has some mobility issues but he still gets around with the help of meds. He is living his older years with love and safety.
Marcia, Marcia, Marcia! Marcia is our favorite big sister who loves her siblings but loves to give them a hard time. Her confidence makes everyone feel like she is looking out for them.
Jan is like a middle child being somewhat shy and contemplative. She needs time to trust and love and we are happy to give her that time. She loves her sisters and housemates.
Cindy is our little girl and loves to do zoomies. She also likes to lie down for a belly scratch but not for long. She has things to do like running around after her friends and root around in the dirt. There's no stopping this girl.
Smudge is another animal who lived in our house when we bought it. Actually, she lived in the garage. She is semi-feral but lets us pet her and give her some love.
CharLee is our big guy who patrols the corral and keeps everyone in line. He does have his soft side and will flop for a belly scratch and loves roaming around the property to graze.
Darla is our silliest goat and would love to be a lap goat. She loves her humans and will come running to get a peanut or animal cracker. Darla is still growing and will be a big girl when she grows up.
Supermodel Lucy is the star of the sanctuary. Her stunning black hair is envied by all. She's all that and more. She can be a little moody but with her star stature, it's to be expected.
Bobby is a young guy and truly a toddler. He is so cute you just want to hug him but he has other ideas. He loves to run around checking in (maybe annoying) his mates but they all will cuddle with him when its time for bed.
The name Javier carries connotations of strength and devotion. Our Javier is certainly strong of mind and body and has a devotion to be the first one at the hay pile. He is our handsome man about town.
Casper the Friendly Goat! And he lives up to that name. Casper is the sweetest boy and loves to be around his people. Casper was debudded as a baby meaning he won't grow big horns but that doesn't dampen his spirit.
